Stronghold

Jason Bilbro

6/2/13

Description:In order for us to fully receive His Blessings we must be within His will. In order to be within His will we must be in unity with Him by letting go of our own strongholds. Jason Bilbro gives Jonah as an example of choosing to ignore and deny the will of God as He pursues us. When we really look at what God offers us it appears ridiculous for us to resist. He offers us a new and redeemed life in His son Jesus.

Deep Roots

Pastor Joe Smith

5/19/13

Description:If you hear a message from a Bible teaching pastor, how does it take effect in your life? When we hear a message or read scripture we should not only agree with it but, apply it in our life. We should not to let our emotions take hold of our decision making process. The importance of reading and further knowing scripture is important. We are to weigh what we hear from the outside word with scripture. The Bible is to be our strength and defense; the sword of the spirit.

Redeemed

Jason Bilbro

4/21/13

Description:“When you have to confess to the ones you’ve sinned against, it’s extremely difficult”. Because we are prideful humans, we don’t want to admit we aren’t perfect. Redemption is available to all, but you have to take the steps to get there- Faith, confession and repentance.

Torn In Two

Pastor Joe Smith

4/14/13

Description:Jesus’ death and resurrection was not only to atone for our sins, it was so he could then descend, by His Spirit and be with all of us. When Jesus said, “It is finished” he made a new covenant for us. Because of the Holy Spirit, we can all now be in the presence of God. We need to open ourselves up to the resurrection power that filled Peter in the book of Acts. When we open our bibles, we should read it like Jesus is there with us.

Devastation and Reform

Pastor Bryan James

3/31/13

Description:There is a process that we experience over and over again. It begins when we accept Christ as Lord. Over time, through circumstances, we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. It takes a lifetime to fully understand and find the power of making Christ our King. Salvation is to know and grow in our relationship with God, be submitted to Him, and with His help, overcome the temptation of sin. Often, when we come to God in prayer, He doesn’t change the circumstances, He changes us first.

Monterey

Pastor Bryan James

Description:We exist to submit to Jesus and glorify Him. Our belief in his work on the cross has given us the right relationship to boldly go the throne of God. Our goal is to establish His kingdom and authority in the hearts and minds of the people we are in community with.
